Astro farm "Hacienda Los Andes", Rio Hurtado, Chile 
Hacienda Los Andes is located in Chile's IV. Region - the Norte Chico - in the valley of the Hurtado River, away from the tourist routes and surrounded by pure wilderness and the beautiful Andes.
We offer seven comfortable rooms, a restaurant, 2 miles of private access to the river Río Hurtado and a palm garden. The estate, with its more than 1200 acres, invites to relax and rest, hike in pure wilderness, go on 4x4 Tours in the upper Andes and do Horseback Riding tours on Chilean Criollos. Our horseback riding programs are suited for experienced and unexperienced riders alike. Tours include one to six day trips and are accompanied by experienced, multilingual guides.
In the Hacienda's private observatory, we cater to the demanding astrophotographer and offer our guests exciting visual night sky tours.
Accommodation:
Hacienda Suite
Beautiful and spacious room with living area. Integrated panorama window permits view over the Andes and sunrise in the morning. Available as single or double room with kingsize bed, writing desk with chair, wardrobe and couch with table. Private bathroom with shower, own terrace, includes breakfast buffet! Room size about 30 square meters, bathroom 8 square meters.
Hacienda Standard
The standard rooms are available as single, double or triple room. They have single or double beds, wardrobe, table and chairs. They all have private bathrooms with shower and access to our patio. Room size is more than 20 square meters. Breakfast buffet is included !
It is also possible to book our Suite or one of our larger standard rooms for families. We supply a baby cot or an extra mattress for the kids. Please request our special prices for children.
Astrophotography:
The main astronomy offering at Hacienda los Andes is directed to the dedicated astrophotographer who wants to live his personal ultimate imaging experience under Southern Hemisphere world class skies, while enjoying the accommodation, food and ambience of our outdoor lodge, situated next door to the professionals at Gemini South, SOAR and LSST.
Hacienda los Andes is ready to offer four state of the art astronomical imaging systems, ranging from wide field to deep sky. Each of these systems consists of a high end imaging telescope, an Astro-Physics mount, a back-end with top class CCD camera and a dedicated computer workstation, all housed in an individual dome or ROR observatory.
Furthermore, we offer five AC powered observing platforms for the guests who prefer to use their own equipment. One of these platforms has a permanent, pre-aligned high-end mount that can adapt to a variety of telescopes that our guests may want to bring.
